Let's talk about birth trauma

đŸšș Have you experienced birth trauma?

đŸšș Did you even know that was a thing?

đŸšș Has it just been shrugged off with ‘well the baby came out safely so it’s ok’ when really YOU are not ok?

đŸšș Have you told your partner, family, friends, GP or other health professional that you are struggling with the birth trauma you experienced?

As a women's health physio, the majority of women I see in clinic who have experienced birth trauma have no idea of the help that is out there, and they haven’t heard of @birthtrauma.org.au

The Australasian Birth Trauma Association (ABTA) is the first thing that I write down for these ladies and I watch as they cling to the paper with the newfound hope that they are not alone.

If you aren’t aware of what they do head over to their Instagram page where you can also find a link to their website.

They are a charity for birth related trauma prevention and support offering resources, peer 2 peer support services and a private support group.

Please share and let more women know that there is help out there.
